In recent years, Non-Performing Loans is one of the key factors that have had a great impact on the healthy development of China's finance and economies. A major concern, at present, has been how to reduce NPLs and foster the harmonious development between finance and economies. The western economists have been researching and demonstrating the strong correlation between finance developing and economies growing in various ways since the 1950s. However, the theories of financial development remain to be improved. In fact, financial assets quality is one of the significant factors for sound financial development, which has been proved by the frequency of economic and financial crisis in the 1990s. According to China's actual conditions, the author of this article analyzed the relationships among local economic growth, financial development, and NPLs, and drew some conclusions, which can be regarded as the objective bases for further NPLs problem-solving.
