China's High-tech Fields Within The Industry Trade Study

With development of world knowledge economy, expanding high-technologyindustry becomes a significant approach to optimize trade structure and improvecompetitive capability internationally. Chinese government accordingly put forth thestrategy of prospering trade through technology. In recent years, China's import andexport of high-technology products rise fast, and proportion of high-technology productsto overall trade increases continually. This article researches from the point of intra-industry trade by calculating intra-industry trade index and subdividing intra-industrytrade into vertical intra-industry trade and horizontal intra-industry trade and finds outthat intra-industry trade in most high-technology industries is not advanced and mainlyvertical intra-industry trade. Afterwards, by analyzing high-technology product structure,trade pattern and trade bodies, the article points out that high-technology trade developsunevenly, and bases on labor comparative advantage. Finally, the article put forwardssome suggestions by integrating conclusions of intra-industry trade theory.
