Sino-foreign Joint Ventures Foreign Partners Of The Country Of Origin Or Geographical Characteristics Of Factors Studies

China has been carried on reforming and opening policy and obsorbed amount of foreign direct investment from the 1978 on. The economic of China started changing into a new time, the foreign and Chinese joint ventures have been developed in a large scale during these 28 years and they have deeply influenced on the Chinese sociality in many area, such as economic and technology and market and culture.In this dissertation, we collected and analyzed the correlated data of 11,562 joint ventures during the seriate 27 years from 1979 to 2005. The research results we finded are as follows: Fistly, the culture distance between diffirent nations could affects on the choice of foreign parters to some extend. The similar background of east culture urges more enterprises from Asia area cooperate with companies from China. There are 7,111 from Asia in all research samples, account for 61.5%. Besides, the influence of culture on the JVs is diffirent during the diffirent period of economic developing. In the early, the culture has an important effect on the JVs which belong to high labor demanding industries, but in the upper phase, the technology resourses has more significant influence than the culture on those from high technology demanding industries. Secondly, the enterprises from capitalist economic system cooperated more frenquently with companies from China than those from socialist economic system. There were only a JV during the Soviet Union times, but there were several new JVs per year during the Soviet times. At last, the enterprises from the areas that economic freedom degree or GDP per capita are higher prefer to build joint ventures in China. For example, the economic freedom degree and the GDP per capita of Hong Kong are the first and the third in the world separately, the parters from HK are the most and account for 42.46%. Similiarly, these two indexes of U.S are the third and the first, the parters from which are the second and account for 19.16%.In the end, we summarized the results of research and reached some conclusions.
