The object of various countries official statistics has been aims at the economical production activity which can cause GDP rises in value, but to those activity which has not been bought into line with SNA, while, certainly has not brought to the enough attention. Until Second World War period, some scholars only started to these economic phenomena to conduct the research, contained the underground economy research. Because at that time, the underground economy had not displayed the inflation tendency, the research scope was quite limited. Since 20th century the 70's, along with the world economy developed rapidly, the west capitalist country appeared some economic phenomenon which cannot be explained with the tradition macroscopic economic. Keynes's traditional economic theory had faced the stern challenge. Feige changed the traditional angle of the economy, and attempted to use the underground economy phenomenon's existence to explain those economic present situations, At last, raised the underground economy upsurge once more.This article has launched the Chinese underground economy research based on this kind of situation. It introduces what the underground economy is, what the manifestation's are in China. It also summarizes the classification, the characteristic as well as the reasoning of the underground economy in China. Simultaneously this article has made the analysis to the Chinese underground economy scale calculation and the local distribution characteristic according to the actual situation of China. Besides this, it expresses the view to the underground economy international comparison. Finally it puts forward author's proposals and opinions to the underground economy's influences and the government countermeasures.First chapter is to the present introductions of the underground economy in China.
