China Engineering Insurance Regulatory System And Mode Of Study

As an effective means for risk shifting of the modern large-scale construction project, engineering insurance has been paid much attention to in China. Being of enormous premium and several beneficiaries, it is necessary to conduct engineering insurance supervision to ensure the benefit of the insured and normal competition. With complexity and variability, engineering insurance supervision has been the crux of theoretical research on engineering insurance.In terms of the theories of engineering insurance and supervision, the characteristics, status quo, contents and functions of supervision are analyzed in this paper. Based on the experience of the developed countries, countermeasures for the engineering insurance supervision system as well as a reasonable supervision mode of China are put forward in this paper.Based on the investigation of a large amount of materials, the prominent problems existing in supervision of China are discussed. In allusion to the problem of insufficient solvency, index system of the early risk warning for the engineering insurance as well as its floating range are present, referring to that for the insurance. To deal with the insufficient solvency resulted from the rigid supervision mode, it recommends that market supervision should be changed into solvency supervision as soon as possible and supervision mode of "umbrella supervision + function supervision" is also recommended in this paper. It provides a developing way for the establishment of engineering insurance supervision system and mode of China.Passing an new opinion, this paper boosts the further development of engineering insurance supervision system and mode of China and is of reference significance.
