The Balanced Scorecard (BSC) integrates enterprise 's long-term strategy and actions in a period of time by its four aspects. It considers the importance of the immaterial assets of the enterprise well, and balances the benefits of its stakeholders, and places strategy in the center of the organization. The BSC has been developed to be a strategy management tool from the simple performance evaluation tool. It breaks through the localization of traditional performance evaluation and provides the enterprise a frame to transform the strategy to action. Since its naissance, the BSC has influence on theory and practical research in western countries. However, there is little cases of success in Chinese enterprises.This paper begins with the basic theory of BSC, and finds out the origin and characteristics of BSC. Then it analyses the background of BSC' s application in Chinese enterprises by reviewing the development of performance evaluation and comparing BSC with the main performance evaluation tool. After that, it evaluates the precondition and benefit-cost of the BSC' s application. Basing on the above finished work, this paper makes an analysis on the factors which affect the application of BSC, and thinks that those internal factors could be overcome by the enterprise itself, but the exterior factors can not be changed, so the enterprise should adjust itself to adapt. Based on some related assumptions, this paper expatiates the meaning to research from the view of product, and then proceed to construct a dynamic product-BSC model. This paper carries out the opinion that the application of BSC in Chinese enterprise should pay different attention on the different four aspects according to the difference of products, and the "balance" is dynamic but not absolute, which provides the available application of BSC in Chinese enterprises.
