This paper approaches from the five-element model in conceiving the core competence of retail enterprises and elaborates on the relations between the informationization and the retail enterprise's core competence. Centering on the influence of the informationization on the five factors of the retail enterprise's core competence, such as enterprise culture, the ability of study, strategy, work flow and organization, this paper adopts the research method that combines theory with practice, bases its research on the cases of Taifu Department Store and reveals before us the fruits of Taifu store's informationizative construction and development from two main threads.One is to explore the track from four time phases and analyzes the informationizative backgrounds, informationizative constructions and informationizative results during every period.The other is to exhibit how it had profundity effects on informationization and the innovational achievements on advancing the enterprise's core competence efficiently, which based on the five-element model of the retail enterprise's core competence overall and systematically.The trailing management of distributing merchandise, the automatic apportionment and expense for commission-based goods, the automatic settlement based on contracts, the automatic issue flow of receipt, the linkage model of Department Store, the task management, the 360 degree feed-back , the management of flow checking and so on. Under the situation of boiling-hot enterprise practice and violent market competence, all those innovation in management reach double strong practicable effects in the fields of informationization and management according to the direction of managing theories.It not only realizes the innovational way of using messages by putting the informational mechanism, the report form subscribing mechanism and short messages as such means of informational technique and communicational technique into managing practice, but also does the innovation of managing achievement by carrying through conformity between the task and flow management and the managing and the managing system of stock, sale, store and human resources.As personal informational systematic design of post has changed the traditional designing idea of use function, informationization applying to fine management is an innovation. It is organizational model and flow management innovation which is going alone with management and check from two angles of administration and flow organizationIn conclusion, it summarizes its keys to success and freely speaks the author's mind on informationization for reflection. The views in this paper and the cases applied to Taifu Department Store can be provided as references for other enterprises.
