The spatial phenomenon in modern anthropology includes not only the geographical or structural environments, but also the social relations, daily habits, ideology or political and economic spaces, which are derived from people's other activities inside it. This thesis studies the pastoral nationalities and the sustainable development of their cultures through an undersanding of the phenomenon of the Mongols.This thesis starts with the spaces of the herdsmen in Narisu Township Keshketeng Banner of Chifeng City, and focus on two points: The use of grassland, nomadic living style and the mental harmony between human culture and ecological environments; and the local herdsmen dynamic adaptation by continuing the traditional culture against the background of social change, and how their culture play a part in this course. The purpose of this argument is to make the mainstream society understand the pastoralism better and reduce the culture prejudice, in order to promote cultural and environmental protection at same time.Through this study, we want to clarify that, since China is a multi-ethnic, multi-ecological and multi-cultural country, it is a necessity to solve the relationships well among the three set for building social harmony.
