| Driven by the globalization, unification and market-opening of the world economy, a kind of new relationship has been formed between banking and insurance since 1980s. Developing from originally parallel independence to mutual penetration and combination, the banking and insurance grow to cooperate with each other for "Double Winning" in several business fields. On the basis of the foreign and domestic cases of cooperation between banking and insurance, using the theory and the experiences of the developed countries for reference, the article makes a systemic exploratory research on the origin and development of the cooperation between banking and insurance. Taking the domestic economic practices into consideration the author puts forward some suggestions on how to develop the cooperation between banking and insurance in China nowadays.The text of the dissertation consists of three parts.Chapter one expatiates the origin and the basic development phases of the cooperation between banking and insurance, explores the conceptual foundation, analyses the cases of different phases, and points out the inevitability of developing the cooperation between banking and insurance.Chapter two explores the patterns that could be consulted by the domestic banking and insurance companies for help, based on the insightful analysis on the practices of the western developed countries and Hong Kong, furthermore, Hong Kong is especially worth of carefully studying and learning.In chapter three, reviewing the brief evolutional history of cooperation between banking and insurance in China, this article objectively dissertates and analyses current problems existing in cooperation between banking and insurance in China. Finally the essay puts forward the new ideas on how to develop the cooperation between banking and insurance in China and the patterns could be applied. |
