Study Of Government Control Over The Governance Of Commercial Banks

The reform of commercial banks is on the critical stage at present in our country. How to deepen this reform next have already become the financial focus people have paid close attention to. The shareholding system reform of commercial banks is a promotion of former reform that suits to the market of economy and finance development of our China. Also, it's an objective demand for internationalized development. All these issues are realistic and difficult problems, which is of great importance to advance the reform of commercial banks.The thesis covers four chapters in addition to introduction. First chapter provides theoretical frame. On the base of theories about corporate governance, it analyzes fundamental method and feature of bank governance. The second chapter analyzes the specialty of commercial banks and the related demands for bank governance. The third chapter draws support from new political economy and sets up analytical pattern. In this chapter, the author emphasizes on governmental action during governance period. The forth chapter argues the following problems of the research. Aimed at the present situation and defects, the author confirms the overall target to the reform of the banks governance and plans the mode to reform.The main conclusion in this thesis is that in commercial banks, governance contradiction is between the politician and other people, especially the public people. In order to protect the interest of public people, the author establishes governance patterns suit for commercial banks during transitional period. The thesis tries to study extensively the relationship of contraction in corporate governance of commercial banks. Secondly, on the ground of analyzing governance restraint condition, the author deepens the studying of bank governance, and emphasizes that bank governance should receive the public governance pattern that appropriates for Chinese economical institution.
