Peace and development is the theme of the world today. The competition cross nation is largely represented by the competition of economic power and strength, which are performed through the corporate power, especially the power and strength of the large corporation and industrial groups.Through which means to improve Chinese corporate competitiveness and how to be a winner in the marketing competition is an important research issue.This thesis is to address that the industrial group itself is the product of economic organization as a result of seeking for competitive improvement through the research of Xu Ji Group competition. Because the corporate competition is not solely determined by one factor, but a systematic layers of factors, the industrial group competitiveness depends largely on the performance of its advantages in terms of institution, organization and technology.Therefore, this thesis makes an attempt to adopt methods of new institution economics, organization economics and core competition as well as modern management theory to analyze the formation and growth of Xu Ji Group's competitiveness from three basic elements, such as institution, organization and technology. A summary is made on the present corporate competition theory and evaluation methods. This paper is then followed by the analysis on the macro environment, trade environment, market environment and its primary competitors faced by Xu Ji Group and also clarifies its opportunities and challenges. Finally through combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods this thesis makes thorough systematic study on Xu Ji Group's competitiveness and core competitiveness cultivation.
