In recent years, the innovation of our local finance and the entrance of the foreign capital bank bring a huge challenge to the banking supervision of our country. For lack of perfect laws and advanced tools of supervision, it is necessary to study experience of abroad for they have advanced experience of banking supervision. Because of long history of capitalism, England has ample experience of supervision. So this paper studies its experience of supervision to give us some lessons.For the first part, we introduce some background, emphases, scales and the other achievement in this aspect. The second part introduces the general situation in England. This part gives us the target, principle, content and method of supervision of England. The third part introduces our own situation of banking supervision, including the target , principle, content, method and problems of supervision in our country. Then we analyze the reasons of these problems. The forth part gives us some suggestions by analysis of supervision of our two countries. For principles, we could learn their risk-based approach and method that acts according to actual circumstances. For method of supervision we can implement dynamic supervision. For laws of supervision we can make the laws more logical and the quantity rules of supervision easier to comply.The last part concludes that we could adopt the intensive supervision which will make full use of our resources and can finish a task on a least cost.
