Software Industry Development A Key Factor In The Empirical Research

As the basement of important college education, scientific research and national defense, Shaanxi province is one of the most human resource in China. It becomes inevitable choice in the 21 century how to take advantage of abundant resource to develop information technology especially software industry. As the focus of new round of international competitions, how to develop the software industry receives extensive concerning. As one of the strategic industry in Shaanxi, software industry has keep a high speed of development in recent years, but there is a long distance in all respects of the software industry competitiveness compared with some domestic developed provinces such as Beijing, Shanghai. It is important to point out the problems in its development, offer references for developing policy of software industry, and find out the critical success factors (CSF).First, based on the analysis of the development situation of domestic and international software industry and checking literature reviewing about CSF for software industry, the paper suggests the assessment indicators, six comprehensive factors including human resource, technology creative, market performance, government support, enterprise finance, enterprise culture for software industry CSF. Then, on the definition of the six factors, combined the characteristic of software industry, the evaluation indexes are formed. Many researchers have studied in this field, but the existing researches still have limitations. Based on integrating these points and avoiding the problems, the paper presented a new model concerning the relationship between the development of software industry and these factors. It makes an empirical research on the conception model and assumption methods of SPSS and LISREL. Through the results from the reliability and validity of the survey on Xi'an Software Park, the hypotheses are verified. Finally, this research explores several findings. Human resource, technology creative, market performance, government support, enterprise finance, enterprise culture effect development of software industry directly. According to the analysis, this paper offer suggestions to promote Shaanxi software industry development from these six effects.
