The alteration information extraction with remote sensing has been an important research direction of the application of remote sensing in geology . At present, the main alteration information extraction techniques include principal component analysis, band ratios operation, etc. In fact, for these methods and selection of feature band, there is a certain blindness. The difference of the natural topography and the disturbances of surface features, combined with the atmosphere and the mixture factors make remote sensing image become more complex. If it was selected inappropriate method of the extraction, it will miss some geological information.In this paper, based on the main technical framework of "Separation of multi-level extraction of remote sensing alteration information", through the application of the detection and extraction of the alteration information with the different natural landscape areas at home and abroad,Thus, it test and verify the general utility of this method technique of alteration information extraction in different areas. Summarized the common and personality features of remote sensing image, the advantages and disadvantages of the methods and techniques in applications of the different areas of natural landscape, it provides more application feedback and new research ideas for the further study of the multi-level extraction technology of remote sensing alteration information.The main contents of the application and research include the following:(1) Through collect and use the existing regional geological data, based on the full analysis of the geological data, to summarize the geological background of the work area, mineralization law, geological conditions, forming mode; To interpret and analyze the remote sensing images of study area, and research the remote sensing information of the structure and stratigraphy, lithology related to regional area, provide information support for remote sensing exploration.(2) Through the diagnosis of the remote sensing image features, make the complex alteration information extraction of remote sensing into the analysis of the three main target of the background, interference and alteration information of remote sensing images, then, applied the analysis of spectral space structure to study of the structure and spatial orientation of the cluster structure of the three main target of the background, the interference and the alteration information, especially for the identification and division of confounding factors.(3) In the full knowledge and understanding of the regional geological features, known deposits (body) of geological features, based on the analysis of the above characteristics of remote sensing data, to choose the best band (variables) portfolio for extracting the alteration information, and study technical methods of the remote sensing information extraction; based on such model of the alteration information extraction, to detect and extract the alteration information related to metal.(4) Select the foreign Cebu Philippines area (including a variety of interference surface features), the domestic two districts, one for the Inner Mongolia region QianTaKeTu area(vegetation coverage), and the other for the QingHai GiDi area (water area). Through the application of the three comparison study area, summarizes the common and personality features of remote sensing image and the advantages and disadvantages between the corresponding extraction technology of the alteration information of the remote sensing and other methods, to summarize the prevalence and limitations.
