Research on Spectral Feature of Objects is an important basis research work of Remote Sensing technology and application and essential work of Remote Sensing technology. Different rocks and minerals have different spectral features, Because of the composition of rock and mineral and its structure is different. So it is possible to extract rock mineral alteration information and the strength of alteration using objects spectrum technology. Drill cores which number is KZK10 come from copper area in Ji GuanZui as the study object in this paper. To study extracting rock mineral alteration information and quantification on the basis of study on rock and mineral spectral features. To complete the following main contents:1. Spectral data acquisition method and specification in the field have been studied and concluded. The observing process of field spectrometer data and the problems that need attention in the actual operation are introduced. The observed spectral data contains noise and exception information. Because of the influence of wilderness environment and instrument noise. So data preprocessing before using is extremely important. In this paper spectral data pretreatment methods are discussed in detail by programming and summed up a set of spectral data pretreatment process flow. Which is the foundation for further study.2. The mineral altered information extraction of cores is realized by programming. In this paper the spectral clustering as a starting point, study the characteristics of different categories spectrum. On the basis of study on different matched methods of spectrum, Spectral Correlation Fitting is use to extract the altered information of cores and has a good effect.3. Alteration mineral spectrum feature parameters are extracted by programming.The feature absorption area is as the parameter to research half quantitative of altered mineral after analyzed the spectrum characteristics of quantitative parameters what significance have in geology and determined. Study suggests that the depth and areaof feature absorption have positive correlation which may represent altered information strength and difference of altered mineral relative content.4. The relations of alteration information and mineralization are analyzed.Through research the relationship between the alteration intensity information extracted and copper elements that shows: in some core the altered strength gradually strengthened along with the increase of the depth.
