Based On PLC Technology Of Biological Tissue Automatic Dehydration-dyeing Device Development

Abstract/Summary:
In the histopathological research, many pathological tissues are needed to be prepared into pathological sections. In the preparation process, it includes procedures of tissue fixation, tissue dehydration, tissue transparent, paraffin, tissue embedding, tissue section, deparaffinating and hydration, dye, dehydration, and transparent; following these operations, seal of the slide is conducted to facilitate observation of pathological changes under the microscope and then pathological diagnosis, which facilitates clinical diagnosis and treatment.In view of the complicated preparation process and relevant long period needed, we develop all-in-one auto tissue dehydrating and dying device to reduce the workload by staff and improve their work efficiency. This novel machine can automatically handle the pathological tissue during the period of after fixing and flushing and before embedding, and of after slicing and before sealing of the slide.Presently, there are two designing schemes for system of these kinds of devices, the one is that IPC (Industrial Personal Computer) is as the core of the whole control system which has the disadvantage of worse anti jamming capability and real time communication, so the stability of the whole system cannot be guaranteed; the other is that SCM (Single Chip Microcomputer) is as the core of the whole control system which has the disadvantage of uneasy design of the human-computer interface, and moreover, of the monotonous and unattractive operation interface.The all-in-one auto tissue dehydrating and dying device designed by the author adopts a novel scheme to realize system control, that is, the combination of industrial-touching human-machine interface and PLC programmable logic controller, which forms a mechatronics integration system that facilitates the realization of this device finally.This control system consists of two major components:one is that the control to AC synchronous motor and constant temperature system by PLC, the other is that the user interface realized by industrial-touching screen. In this thesis, firstly, the demand analysis and scheme design for the whole system are conducted; second, the hardware circuit and its software development are illustrated in detail; third, the test for major functions are carried and conclusions are drew; finally, a new idea is proposed for further improvement of the device.The all-in-one auto tissue dehydrating and dying device developed not only can be used for tissue dehydration and dye, but also for investigation and instruction in histopathology.
