Lithology identification is not only an important part of reservoir description, but also is an important basis for solving the reservoir parameters.The results of lithology identification provide a theoretical basis for the oil field exploration and development, while it also plays an irreplaceable role in searching for under ground oil and gas resources and calculating the oil and gas reserves.As the general lithology identification is of heavy workload and low accuracy caused by human factors and so on, with the parallel distributed processing, self-organization, self-learning, nonlinear and high fault tolerance, the artificial neural network has become the important developmen directions of lithology identification technology using the logging data.Lithofacies research is a rapidly developing new method in reservior research in recent years, the method quantitatively studied the sedimentary, diagenesis and the impact of combined effects of post-construction to the reservoir. Late in the water injection and enhanced oil recovery stage, researching the relations of the rock physics phase and the distribution of remaining oil can provide evidence for predicting the distribution of remaining oil and improving the development measures.In this paper, for the exploration status of Xinmin oil field in Fuxin uplift area, with the information of the study area, we comprehensively used the latest theory and method of logging, sedimentology, petroleum geology and artificial intelligence disciplines to conduct the lithology identification and the initial division of the lithofacies of Fuyu reservoir in Xinmin oil field. Application results show that the research results of the paper has certain practical significance and good prospect for research the law of the oli-water distribution and the prediction of residual oil zone of Fuyu oil layer in Xinmin oil field.
