The main study of urban surveying and mapping engineering focuses on the theory, technology, and method of various aspects, and management and utilization of measurement and engineering related information. The aspects include information collecting and processing of terrain and engineering during the different stages, construction lofting, monitoring and forecasting of deformation.With the fast development of surveying and mapping technology, urban surveying and mapping engineering is no longer limited to the traditional pattern. The use of new technology and equipment has made the engineering more automatic, intelligent, dynamic, integrative and real-time. As a new measuring technology, RTK surveying system is becoming more and more popular, and the research on RTK and its application in urban surveying and mapping engineering show important practical significance.Engineering survey and related theory of RTK surveying system are introduced in this paper. Combined with practical engineering projects, actual work flow, data acquisition, data analysis and process of RTK system are presented. The advantages of RTK system in engineering survey are summarized. Meanwhile there is limitation in the process for RTK system, for which various factors should be taken into account, such as blind spots of observation, satellite number, magnetic interference, and human error.Digital measuring using RTK system can not only reduce labor and work process, but also improve the rate and quality of date acquisition, so as to improve the work efficiency. Consequently, it is an effective method of measurement, and technology worth being popularized and further studied. |
