Random vibration theory is a branch of vibration which has been great developed in recent years. Compared to the traditional harmonic vibration test, random vibration test simulates the vibration environment of a structure more realistic, and provides more reliability and security to their practical application. Actual random vibration test often requires several repeated tests, due to the random excitation and response. In this paper, based on the basic random vibration theory, a simulation was conducted using Finite element software MSC.Patran/Nastran in the early stage of the test, to provide guideline for applying the excitation spectrum of the random vibration test. This research consists mainly of two parts. The first one discussed responsive control of different controlled system which Include the following types: 1. single-input and single-output system, 2. single-input and multi-output system, 3. multi-input and single-output system, 4. dual-input and multi-output system, 5. multi-input and multi-output system. The algorithm of the control procedure is based on dissert. In the other part, the redevelopment was completed based on software Patran. With the help of rich functions and libraries in Patran, we have completed the Patran user interface of control program, which contains random response analysis interface and the control interface. We realized the functions of outputting the result, inputting user parameters, and calling control procedures with the user interface.Through validating the simulation program with sample problems, it shows that we can smoothly finish the random response analysis and the control of random response with the program user interface. The results of control program satisfy the accuracy requirements.
