The Corresponding Relationship Between Crustal Deformation And Volcanic Activity

Earthquake and crustal deformation are the reflection of physical movement interior of the earth, so they are closely related to earthquake prediction. The deformation data measured by the Water Tube Tiltmeter and Extensometer are vital for the capture of precursory deformation information; it can be greatly response to the rock anomalies before and after the earthquake. And it has great significance of researching crustal deformation from the relative motion of vertical and horizontal direction.Under the situation of Chang Bai volcano earthquake in recent years, we select from 2004 to 2006 as typical. The year of 2004 was the peak of volcanic activity over the past decade; It has significantly fluctuations in various indicators in volcanic activity. The year of 2006 is the transition year for volcano as the active steering peaceful, and its data of deformation and water chemistry is of great significance to research critical change of volcanic activity. We select the data of Water Tube Tiltmeter and Extensometer from months February and December in 2004, October and November in 2006, and get the curve of EW and NS according to the time series. We use the data of earthquake wave and Water Tube Tiltmeter and Extensometer to obtain the relationship of deformation and volcanic activity by Partial Correlation Analysis with SPSS17.0.Research finds that the changes of NS deformation data is closely related with the volcanic seismic activity, EW is not. We select monthly data of earthquake wave and deformation of large earthquake ten days before and after the earthquake to do Partial Correlation Analysis. It showed that the relationship of deformation data and volcanic seismic activity change from positive correlation to negative correlation in ten days before and after the earthquake, or the opposite. But it often shows forward or backward.
