Research On Creating DEM Of Suburban Roads Based On Large Scale Digital Map

Digital Elevation Model is the basis important part of Geographic Information System.With the rapid development of computer technology and further improve of GIS theory,DEM has been widely applied in GIS, engineering construction, military command, battlefield simulation, decision support and other systems of the most important underlying data.DEM is the most important underlying data of construction, military command, battlefield simulation, decision support and other systems.Digital elevation model of the road established for urban planning, design and other services.DEM of the road take into account the surrounding environment and topography, geology and other factors,this realistic present real road conditions and the region on the road routes,so policy makers have an intuitive impression, and the DEM brings convenience to their decision-making.This paper studies how to use the city's large scale digital topographic map to establish suburban roads DEM.The paper mainly discusses how to process data, the establishment of Elevation Dense Model and how to use ArcScene to create DEM,the paper also introduces several data source of DEM,the basic theory of DEM and the theory of DEM accuracy assessment. A great deal of comparison test to be done to verify the role of cut off lines and Elevation Dense Model meets the requirements or not.The experiment showed that the Elevation Dense Model can substantially increase the accuracy of DEM.
