Because the heavy oil with high viscosity and temperature sensitive properties, it has taken various of measures to decline the viscosity of heavy oil to ensure the normal exploitation of heavy oil at home and abroad. Common external thermal fluid heating, electric heating and other methods have some disadvantages, such as different levels of energy consumption, production costs are high, oil underground is complicated, and poor economic. Against this view of current status of heavy oil, solving these problems of exploiting heavy oil production, based on previous studies, this paper combine with the thermal management theory existed, designing sucker rod type gravity heat pipe to meet the actual production of oil well, and analyzing the heat transfer performance through field test in Liaohe Oilfield.This article carried out the following research at the gravity heat pipe by using the hollow rod:1.Combined with existing thermal management theory, on the principle of gravity heat pipe and the heat pipe heat transfer process to make in-depth analysis, given the calculation methods of every heat pipe heat transfer limit, and put forward the gravity heat pipe and sucker rod string design with thermal effects analysis metheds;2.Make the analysis of heat balance of the system which consist of gravity heat pipe to compensate the heavy oil shaft's heat loss, it can know that the gravity heat pipe's thermal effects;3. Construction on three wells in Liaohe Oilfield's Huan 127 block, record the production data after the gravity heat pipe heating the test wells' shaft, and combined with historical records to be analyzed, to further validate the gravity heat pipe heating oil well shaft in heavy oil recovery in feasibility, and obtained good test results;4. By comparing the previous year's three test wells'production data in the same cycle of production data, get the gravity heat pipe heating effect factors.
