Crusher is a common device in many basic industries, the research of energy efficient crusher is increasingly becoming a major issue in industry. In this paper, a new type Cone Pin Roll Crusher is researched in the following aspects.(1) On the basis of Accessing to relevant information in the literature and investigation of the two mines, the research status and development trend both at home and abroad are analyzed, the superiority of this new type Cone Pin Roll Crusher and significance of the research for it are pointed out.(2) Three-dimensional model of the equipment is created by using the software Solidworks, to the problems appear in actual operation of this new type crushing machine, such as bad automatic release,inconvenience of replacement, a new automatic opening and closing mechanism of the shell is designed. The key components are analyzed by using Simulation tools, so to determine reasonable size of the structure.(3) Hydraulic control system is designed, the automation of this shell opening and closing mechanism is realized, the operating performance and market competitiveness of this equipment are greatly improved.(4) The power consumption model of the new type crusher is established, power consumption formula of the equipment is got through analysis and calculation, after designing and conducting experiment, the power consumption formula is verified. The grain size characteristic of the products is Analyzed, the grain size characteristic equations are established, by comparing the final experimental results and calculated results, the rationality of the power consumption formula is confirmed, can be used in engineering calculation for this new type Cone Pin Roll Crusher.A new automatic shell opening and closing mechanism is proposed and successfully designed by the author, under the application of empirical power consumption formula combined with experimental method, the power consumption of this new type Cone Pin Roll Crusher is researched, which has directive significance to the Structure modification and the research of power consumption of other types of crushers.
