The yield fermentative glutamic acid had reached 2.3 million tons in 2010 in China which accounted for more than 75% of world production. Therefore, China became the largest producer of glutamic acid. Many pollutants were produced during the process of glutamate ferment and had serious effects on glutamate industry so that it became the focus of the society. Glutamate extraction process could cause the most yield of pollutants. According to the concept of cleaner production, it was urgent to realize recycle and reduce of pollutants. Furthermore, It carried out engineering design during the glutamate extraction process. Consequently, the research was interesting and instructive to actual production of monosodium glutamate factory.1. The development of extraction technologies and cleaner production were firstly introduced at home and abroad. It was brought forward to deal with the main difficulty and problem during the glutamate extraction.2. The influencing factors of different flocculants in the flocculation process were researched and compared including pH, coagulant dosage and temperature according to the characteristics of corynebacterium glutamicum among the solution of iso-electronic ion-exchan. The result showed that the effect of organic macromolecular flocculant was better than small molecules flocculant. It focused on the flocculation characteristics of the biological macromolecules with xanthan gum. The resulted showed that bacteria could reach more than the removal efficiency to 90%under the optimum operational parameters:pH=3.0, t=45℃, flocculant concentration=10 g/L and the volume of isoelectric tail solution= 0.7-0.8%3. The secondary crystallization technology,of glutamic acid was studied aimed at properties of isoelectric tail-liquid solubility. By analyzing concentrated multiple of glutamic acid, pH, temperature and crystallization of ammonium sulphate, the secondary crystallization process was obtained and followed as:isoelectric tail-liquidâ†'pH=5â†'concentrated 7 multipleâ†'remove ammonium sulphateâ†'adjust pH=5.5 and glutamate crystalâ†'adjust pH=3.2 and secondary isoelectric crystallization. Finally, the glutamate reclaiming rate of the second isoelectric could reach 70-80%. 4. The spray granulation technique could produce strong peculiar smell gas and cause severe air pollution. Thereby, it is urgent to treat the polluted gas. The treatment technology was obtained by the experiment of washing, absorption, adsorption and biological methods. It followed as:contaminated gasâ†'(washing solution with fermentation solution at temperature 45℃)â†'spray washing (washing of natural cycle at temperature 30℃)â†'biological treatment (at temperature 26℃)â†'emissions. Finally, the total treatment efficiency increased from 20% to 65%.or so by the process.5. It had achieved the engineering design, and factory running according to the research results of the above three aspects.
