In this thesis, a new type of calix[4] complex was synthesized base on the stable complex cation [NaL]+, which extracted the palladium cation in the form of The structure of the extracted complex was fully characterized including NMR-'H, NMR-13C, EA, crystal analysis. It was found that the extracted complex was an effective catalyst for cross-coupling reaction of arylboronic acids with carboxylic anhydrides or acyl chlorides under mild reaction conditions. When various arylboronic acids were employed, good to excellent yields were obtained.
