Raman spectroscopy is a very effective way of the study on structure of matter. Raman scattering cross-section is an important parameter in Raman spectrum study and application as the same as frequency shift and line wideth.Raman scattering cross-section is not only influenced by the frequency of the pump laser but also is effected by the environment of molecular. There are complex intermolecular interactions in solution. It will lead to the fact that polarizability and the Raman scattering cross-section of solute and solvent molecules change with the concentration. Therefore, it is a very difficult problem of measuring the Raman scattering cross-section in solutions. In this paper, we have established the equations among the concentration, Raman intensity and Raman scattering cross-section according to the Onsager's model. And we have calculated the Raman scattering cross-section at various concentrations by means of measuring Raman intensity of solute and solvent and using the standard values of Raman scattering cross-section of pure solute given by literature. This method is much better that of internal standard by reason of less error.
