Recent years, according to some disadvantages of traditional activated sludge process, such as:sludge bulking, the hardly increase of active sludge, the restriction of the waste water, ect, as well as the development of the scientific technologies and the integrated research of the interdisciplinary, many scholars put the magnetic power into the active sludge to handle the waste water, hoping to solve the existed problems during the operation of activated sludge process. After the adding of the magnetic powder, the structure of the sludge compact, the deposition effect is better, and the sludge bulking has been overcome; the concentration of the activated sludge is improved, which can also increase the processing capacity, reduce the aeration tank area. What's more, it has low cost and easy operation characters, which also has a broad application prospects.This paper is dedicated to the research of the reaction kinetics of the magnetic powder to the activated sludge process. Firstly, according to the experiments of handling the domestic waste water by magnetic powder activated sludge process, we determine what the best operation condition is when the magnetic activated sludge treatment of the municipal sewage. Secondly, we will analyze and discuss the substrate degradation kinetics of the magnetic powder activated sludge process under the best operating condition, and deduce the kinetics model of the substrate degradation process. We will also do regression analysis between the dynamic relationships and the experiment result under the best operating condition, thus we can find the set of such sewage and determine the reaction order kinetic constant.Through the magnetic treatment of sewage sludge kinetics study, this thesis gains the following conclusions:(1) the best dosage of powder is 100mg/L in the magnetic treatment of sewage and the optimum aeration time is 4 hours.(2) the magnetic activated sludge matrix degradation is consistent with first level reaction; not add powder of activated sludge is also consistent with first level reaction; and establish the equation of the magnetic activated sludge of substrate degradation kinetics and nitrification kinetics.
