Imbibition is an important EOR mechanism of low permeability reservoirs. A comprehensive study about the way of imbibition, mechanism and factors influencing the recovery factor for improving the low permeability reservoir of great significanceAs the concentration of molecular deposition films using a low drive, with less investment and construction process is simple, field test can use the existing network of injection wells, water injection facilities and personnel without special training, significantly increasing oil production in field experiments and so on. Therefore expected to be a promising "improved water flooding" enhanced oil recovery technology.This paper studies the phenomenon of the natural core spontaneous imbibitions, and using molecular deposition films to improve imbibition for enhanced oil recovery through laboratory experiments method. Including natural core of the spontaneous imbibition flooding, the films adsorption on the rock surface molecular, the films to improve the wettability of quartz surfaces, the interfacial tension between the films and crude oil, the films spontaneous imbibition flooding, and the films improved the efficiency of water floodingThe spontaneous imbibition of natural core experiment showed that the main driving forces of imbibition in porous media is influenced by capillary force and oil-water of gravity. Wettability and interfacial tension is an important factor in the imbibition process.The molecular deposition films improve imbibition experiments showed that, the films through its solution as the transfer medium, adsorbed on the rock surface, so that the wettability of the rock into a neutral or weakly hydrophilic, reducing the oil-water interfacial tension, while reducing the adhesion work between oil and rock surface, making the crude oil can be stripped from the rock surface, increasing the water flow, improving the degree of imbibition, thus enhancing oil recovery.The molecular deposition films improved water flooding experiments showed that the films has a strong adaptability in different conditions,and it significantly can increase the recovery ratio, while able to reduce the injection pressure.
