In recent years, with the rapid development of modern science and technology, it is highly urgent for us to find some materials which can tolerates much more dramatic conditions, especially higher temperatures. Due to the controllability and versatility structure of aromatic polyamide and polybenzimidazole,we can generate some new materials with heat-resistant and many other good qualities by introducing some flexible groups, or ternary copolymer, etc. Because of the comprehensive and prominent performance of fluoropolymer, more and more people's attention are attracted. In this thesis we successfully synthesized some diamines and diacids with Diphenolic AF as raw materials to make biprotic acid and biamine compound containing hexafluoroisopropyl groups as monomer of polymerization.Containing fluorine binary amine, as the third monomer, joined in the solution of 4,4'-diaminodiphenyl ether (DAPE) and 4,4'-diaminodiphenyl sulfone (DDS) and terephthaloyl chloride(TPC). By adjusting the third monomer's content, we synthesized two series of ternary copolymer compounds successfully. The structures and properties of the compounds were investigated by FT-IR, DSC, TG, XRD etc. The results show that, with the increase of the content of the third monomers, the solubility, viscosity of the products and their glass transition temperatures are improved to some extent. The third monomers containing fluorine of ternary copolymer playing a key role in modifying polymers characteristic, improving material viscosity and dissolve performance, and melting temperature.Ether-based polybenzimidazole were successfully synthesized from diacids containing fluorine reacted with ether-based four amine compounds. The structures and properties of the products were investigated by FT-IR, DSC, TG, XRD etc. It was found that such polymers exhibit excellent performance in heat-resistance and have good dissolve performance. The onset temperature taken at 5 % weight loss of the polymer was over 460℃. And the polymers soluble in except the polarity of sulfuric acid outside the protons type solvent.
