With the continuous development of science and technology, the requirement for the material properties becomes more and more high. Organic-inorganic nano materials not only combine the advantages of the two components, but also possess some novel properties because of their special structures. It has been a hot point both theoretically and practically. Because that the capacity was poor that common paint attached to surface of carbon steel sheet and the painting effect was not better, one kind of nano epoxy composite coating used on transmission towers was studied. In this test, the carbon steel sheet was used as specimen. And the better formula gained from orthogonal test and single factor test. The experiment results indicate that when 2% nano-SiO2 add content, 2% dispersant content, 1% silane coupling agent content and 60 min dispersing time were gained, the hardness, adhesion strength, water resistance, salt water resistance and other performances of the nano epoxy composite coating were dramatically improved, showing better economy benefit.
