With the rapid development of aviation, electronic industry, composite material, the research on the high temperature resistant silane coupling agents is increasingly urgent.Imide ring has good heat resistance and thermal stability for it's special structure, and owing to the strong polarity, imide ring can react with the surface of the treated material, which help to adequately improve the adhesion properties. Therefore, introducing the imide cycle into silane coupling agents could be an effective method to enhance the thermal stability of silane couping agents.This thesis is based on the above-mentional research background. A new synthetic method was developed to prepare silane coupling agents modified by imide ring. Starting from phthalic anhydride(PA), biphenyl tetrcarboxylic dianhydride (BPDA), cis-5-norbornene-endo-2,3-dicarboxylic anhydride(NA), allyl amine and triethoxysilane, two steps including imidization and hydrosilylation were employed to synthesize the target imide ring modified sialne coupling agents with excellent thermal resistance. FT-IR,1H NMR and elemental analysis proved that the imide ring has been incorporated into the silane coupling agents. The thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA) indicated that these three modified silane coupling agents have good thermal stability that before 300℃the thermal weight loss was small. The condensation between siloxane takes place at a lower temperature to form the three-dimensional network structure of Si-O-Si bond, which is beneficial to the thermal stability of the modified silane coupling agents, the decomposition does not occur before 500℃, which endows the modified silane coupling agents have good application performance at a high temperature.The pretreatment of metal with silane coupling agents is a new application, a protecting siloxane coating with certain thickness could be formed by coating the hydrolyzed silane coupling agents followed by thermal treatment. In the research of this thesis, the protection of copper foil was conducted by pretreating with silane coupling agents. The protection efficiency of siloxane membrance was evaluated by soaking test of acid, alkali, salt. Electrochemistry impendance spectrum (EIS) test was used to study the corrosion resistant behaviors of the silane membrance in NaCl solution, establish equivalent circuit and analysis the corrosion resistance of silane membrance based on the fitting and equivalent circuit results, which indicated that the silane membrance has good corrosion resistance alone. Generally, compare with traditional technique of metal protection, this method is simplified, enviromentally-friendly and cost-effective.
