Most triarylmethanes have a good value that are ubiquitous in material, medicals and dyes. Numerous methods have been developed for the synthesis of triarylmethanes by many chemical works. The purpose of this paper is based on previous studies to study the new method of the Synthetic of triarylmethane; we found that RuCl3·3H2O was to be an effective catalyst for reactions of indoles, 2-methyl thiophene, and 2-methyl furan with aromatic aldehydes to afford the corresponding bis(indolyl)methanes, bis(thienyl)methanes, and bis(fur-2-yl)methanes , The procedure offers several advantages including mild reaction conditions, with less catalyst and solvent, moderate to excellent yields, simple experimental and isolation procedures, which makes it is an useful and attractive process for the synthesis of triarylmethanes, and Preliminary Summaried substitution played a major role in governing the reactivity of the substrate.The essay consists of four major parts:ChapterⅠ: Overview. Introduced the progress of the synthesis of tiarylmethane, and made a brief summary.ChapterⅡ: Experiment and result. a facile and efficient procedure for the synthesis of bis(indolyl)methanes, bis(thienyl)methanes, and bis(fur-2-yl)methanes using RuCl3·3H2O as catalyst under mild conditions. Experimental results indicated that mono(indolyl)methanol is not the reaction intermediate under reaction conditions.In addition, summary the whole paper and look forward to the development of the synthesis of triarylmethanes, the spectra of some compounds and others are listed.
