The fluorescent probes are broadly used in biological systems and environmental examination. Due to their marked properties of sensitivity and selectivity, the fluorescent probes become indispendable in analysis and separation. As a consequence, development of technology, many probes have the ability to target specific molecules or cellular compartments in vivo. Many indolizines have high fluorescence quantum effeciencies. In this thesis, some indolizines were synthesized and modified. The fluorescent properties of these compounds were discussed, and their applications in cations recognition were preliminarily investigagted.1. Three compounds of 1-(indolizin-3-yl)-1-pyridin-2-yl)ethanols were synthesized. Next, the fluorescence spectrum of three compounds in the solutions of different pH were preliminarily studied. The results indicated that compounds 2a,2b could be a suitable candidates to detect H+. And the results suggested compound 2c had a selective recognition of Cu2+. This experimental resultd provided new experimental content for designing novel Cu2+ fluorescent probe.2. Three compounds of 2-(indolizin-3-ylmethylene)hydrazinecarboxamides were synthesized. The fluorescence spectrum of these compounds in different pH were investigated. when pH< 7, the results showed that compounds 4a,4b,4c could candidates to detect H+. This experimental result provides 4a,4b,4c were suitable to be pH fluorescence probes.3. Four compounds of indolizine carbohydrazides were synthesized and their optical properties were tested. The results indicated compound 6a and 6c had a selective recognition of Fe3+. These results provided new experimental contents for the designing novel Fe3+ fluorescent probes. The results indicated that compound 6b had a selective recognition of Zn2+.This experimental results provided new experimental contents for designing novel Zn2+ fluorescent probe. The results indicated that compound 6d had similar selective recognitions of Cu2+ and Fe3+.These experimental results provided 6d was not suitable to be a fluorescence probe. 4. Three compounds of indolizines amides were synthesized and their optical properties were tested. The results indicated that compound 9a,9b had a selective recognition of Fe3+. This experimental results provided new experimental content for designing novel Fe3+ fluorescent probes. The results indicated that compound 9c had a selective recognition of Cu2+. This experimental results provided new experimental content for designing a novel Cu2+ fluorescent probe. 13 new heterocyclic compounds were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR,1H NMR, and MS, X-ray.
