With the development of industry and agriculture, heavy metal pollution has aroused concern. In this study, pot experiments are carried out to effectively reduce the cadmium assimilation of celery in simulate cadmium contaminated soil , with pairwise combinations of hydroxyapatite , synthetic zeolite, superphosphate, lime, humic acid ,sodium sulfate,A and B. By the difference of the biomass of celery, the cadmium accumulation after the adding of modifiers to screen cadmium pollution soil conditioner. Celery leaf chlorophyll, fiber content, vitamin C, soluble sugar, soluble protein, MDA and proline content of other physiological characteristics were determinated of 5 combinations conditioner treatment, and ultimately selected the best of cadmium contaminated soil conditioner. Moreover, the physical and chemical properties of soils were analysed after addition of 5 different combinations of soil conditioner, including soil pH, soil organic matter(OM), basic nutrientions, electrical conductivity (EC) et al. The main results of this research are as follows:1.The celery biomass decreased significantly in cadmium contaminated soil(P <0.05) .With the addition of 28 kinds of compatibility modifier combinations , the celery root, stem and leaf biomass increased significantly (P <0.05) in 25 combinations (except T7, T10, T11), the addition of amendment effectely promote the growth of celery in cadmium contaminated soil.2.Compared to the pollution control after adding modifier of the edible part of celery and roots were significantly decreased Cd content (P <0.05), Cd content in edible part of the lowest with 6 kinds(T12, T13, T1, T5, T9, T11). Edible part of the decreased rate of Cd is the biggest T12 (A + B), T13 (A + lime 2g ? kg-1), lower rates were 64.72%, 61.49%.3. Comprehensive analysis of the edible part of celery biomass and of cadmium content , screening five kinds of (T1, T5, T9, T12, T13) cadmium excellent soil conditioner.4.Adding five kinds of modifiers, the celery leaf chlorophyll content and vitamin C content increased significantly (P <0.05), cellulose and soluble sugar content were decreased significantly (P <0.05), comprehensive analysis of T12 (A + B ) quality is better.5.Adding five kinds of modifiers, the celery in the soluble protein content decreased significantly (P <0.05), MDA and proline content increased significantly (P <0.05).6.Adding five kinds of modifier, the soil pH, organic matter content increased significantly (P <0.05), probably by changing the soil pH, organic matter content of celery soil properties to influence the absorption of heavy metals.
