Especially in recent years, it accepts orders for product large casting or thick steel casting, there appears a high rejection rate of casting, according analyzing, the main defects are blow hole, shrinkage, porosity shrinkage and so on.Through the combination of modified sodium silicate experiment, found it is superior to a single physical modification and chemical modification, one is the using of chemical modification of the physical changes to improve the performance bond performance, the other is the using of chemical modification to change the physical properties of the effect of the problem of short duration, Both can be combined. combination of modified sodium silicate improves silicate moisture absorption of water glass 41.7%, on the basis of adhesion60.0%, it reduces the residual strength of 60.0%, can effectively control the pore appear (more than 6 hours).Checking the tightness and air permeability, etc. remain constant in original, though the experiments to baking casting nold and core of casting, get the optimum process:baking at 150℃,putting into the casting mold and core of casting make for CO2 hardening silicate sand, heated to 350℃in 1.5hours,then insulation 1.5 hours, then cooled to 150℃in 1 hours,removing mold and casting core to cast, casting when the casting mold and core temperature dropped to 80℃. the defect rate of pore greatly reduced, though modification the sand and improvement the baking process of casting mold and core of casting.As the rapid development of computer technology in recent years, computer simulation technology is used in foundry industry to simulate the process of its solidification, which can be to predict the emergence of some casting defects. Computer simulation of thick-walled parts and thin wall casting parts has on-site production guiding significance.In this paper, procast casting simulation software to simulate the alloy steel of 42CrMo sleeve casting, using three process program options velocity field, temperature field, flow field of computer numerical simulation when forming the solidification, analyzing simulation results, that analysised the casting quality, Obtained the best pouring process program three.the optimal casting process program will promote the experience to practice, for the factory to,To reduce the production cost, shorten production cycle, improve the production efficiency, improve quality of castings and improve the economic efficiency.
