China is a country rich in coal, its geological condition of coal seam is very complex, there are lots mines are restricted to enlarge, the productivity effect and economic benefit are discouraged because the gas disaster happens frequently. Presently, how to realize the reasonable, safe and efficient mining has become the key technical problems of the safety in mine production.Gas extraction under suction is the best way to solve gas outburst, also it is the essential measure to prevent the gas disaster and eliminate the hazard of gas outburst. In addition, gas extraction system can collect the gas, the new type clean energy, and use it to compensate for conventional energy shortage; it not only can reduce the greenhouse effect, but also realize a low-carbon environment.Based on referring to and summarizing the massive predecessors'achievements, the writer analyzed the rule of gas movement and occurrence of the mining work face in Jinqiao Mine and analyzed the existing gas extraction system, according to studying on the result of the gas extraction, the writer put forward the way to increase the gas extraction efficiency. Based on the analysis on the gas extraction system of the coal seam 6 in Jinqiao Mine, the essay also put forward the train of thought of protective layer mining, the coal seam 6 was used as the protective layer for coal seam 8 to eliminate the gas outburst danger and improve the mining security of the coal seam 8, which provides effective method to solve safe and efficient production problems of the similar gas outburst mines.
