Spatial Variation And Cause Analysis Of Desertification Around Of The Area Of The Qinghai Lake

The change of land use and its causes are always one of the forefront issues, desertification (sandy desertification) is a kind of relatively typical of land use type, it occurs in the arid and semi-arid as well as some semi-humid regions, Due to the interaction of human unreasonable economic activity and fragile environment, causes the land productivity decrease, land resources loss. What is more, the land surface appears the phenomenon of land degradation which is similar desertification landscape is also the reason of desertification. Desertification is the result of the natural environment damaged by human, it produces in accompany with human society produce.This paper is supported by RS and GIS, selecting the peripheral area of the Qinghai Lake in Qinghai province as the research object, using TM images as date sources, extracting the land utilization condition in recent 20 years(1987～2006), According to the research needs, The main land use types will be divided into two types depends on the standard of desertification division by Zhu Zhenda, the two types are desertification and normal land. This paper analyses the desertification conditions in the peripheral area of the Qinghai Lake and tests desertification types and different desertification as well as the developing trends and the reasons. The thesis mainly contents includes:(1)Desertification research and desertification structure dynamic analysis around the area of the Qinghai Lake. In this paper, the author comprehensive analysis the desertification change process, such as desertification structure change through quantitative and qualitative analysis of this period. There are certain authorities: using the landsat TM image which in two periods 1987 and 2006 as main information source, aiding by land use conditions chart,topographic maps and other datum of 1995, using the classification method of man-machine interactive interpretation, collecting the changes information of desertification in the peripheral area of the Qinghai Lake in recent 20 years, and by the means of the desertification dynamic, desertification variations level model and desertification transfer matrix, and so on.(2)The cause analysis of desertification change around of the Qinghai Lake. This thesis analyses the changing regularity of this desertification, and discusses the reasons of desertification that around the Qinghai Lake from many aspects, such as nature factors, social economic factors and so on. The result shows that the reasons of the change of desertification around Qinghai Lake are the interactions of both nature factors and the artificial factors. The nature facto which caused main by the warmer any dryer of the climate is the inciting factor of desertification. The artificial factor which inevitably caused by population rising and policy factors is the main reason.
