Application Research On Digital Graphics Which Based On The Fractal Geometry Theory In Fashion Designing

Fractal geometry is an important branch of nonlinear mathematic.The french scholar mandelbrot has been officially put forward the word fractal in the 1970s, while explained the theory systematically. Fractal geometry developed into a Frontier disciplines rapidly, and it influences other subjects including art gradually.Digital graphic was generated by computer. The combination of fractal geometry and modern computer visualization scientific produced fractal graph such a creative and artistic picture. Fractal geometry is just a group of digital without computer visualization scientific, but iteratived by computer, Digital graphic turn into beautiful patterns. These patterns play important roles in fashion design .Designer's aesthetic appeal are usually based on certain aesthetic interest and knowledge,so it was certainly limited, and fractal graph's creation has great randomness, in addition ,it doesn't come from certain ways. Such uncertainty factors produce a large number of patterns out of people's imagination.Traditional pattern's inspiration comes from traditional elements, or from nature, or geometric patterns joining together. We are familiar with traditional patterns aesthetic feeling, meanwhile people longing for some fresh style that constantly satisfied people's changing psychological feeling, and fractal graph arises at the historical moment. Fractal graph is a treasure in the modern fashion design, because it is unpredicatable and colorful flowery. Fractal graph is a part of digital graphics, therefore it is convenient in printing and dyeing that is suitable for mass production in modern society, and clothes used fractal graph are not easy to copy. Firstly, this thesis introduced fractal geometry theory, namely the foundation of fractal graph mathematical theory,and take three typical fractal collection Mandelbrot, N and Julia sets for example.Secondly, study on fractal graph, made detailed elaboration of fractal. Complex graphics is exactly based on simple philosophy of life. Fractal theory exists in every part of life, every part of nature. And then introduce the generative principle and method of fractal graph. Thirdly, analysis the application of fractal graph in modern fashion design. Advantages are mainly embodied in visual psychology and the convenient production. You must know something very well if want to use it, analysising its characteristics is a good method. Fractal graph is the combination of science and art. This paper studied its aesthetics characteristic, and classified it from the angle of visual and arts,and also analyze the different graphic's suitable clothing styles, and then study the method of its applying in modern fashion design.The most important part of this thesis is that put forward a feasible way of the application of fractal graph in fashion design,and made clothes by myself. That must used fractal graph cleverly in fashion design, also want to consider the various factors affect costume design, such as pop, material, etc.Finally come to a conclusion of this paper, and summarize the feasibility and prospect its outlook of the fractal graph in modern fashion design which based on the existing achievements and this study's results.
