Cored wire technology has many advantages such as low production costs, an area of small, portable equipment, metallurgical results are obvious, resulting in less slag and so on. From the metallurgical point of view, cored wire technology is a set of refining, micro alloying, alloy trim, and the modification in one of refining technology.The current round of domestic cored wire mainly of the core powder filling and bending crack is not close poor, which seriously affected the stability of cored wire. This article is researched in cored wire for apparent density and mechanical properties, its ultimate flexural capacity, deformation capacity and failure were analysed, the following conclusions:Through using face-centered cubic arrangement, establish an ideal sphere model. The two calculation methods: one is to be arranged in 10 mesh particles first, and then pick the largest sphere to fill the gap that can accommodate, and the remaining gaps are accommodated with large to small sphere in sequence; another is to be arranged 10 mesh particles first, and then to pick the largest sphere to fill the tetrahedral and octahedral interstitial volume, and 160 mesh or slightly spheres to fill the other space, and finally got the powder cored wire of volume percentage of the two powder particle size ratio.By using four factors, three level orthogonal test method (L9 (34)), ratio of cored wire powder particle size, to get the mass fraction of the particle size in the best apparent density.In the cored wire bending test, it can be simplify considered load - deflection curve as two stages: stageⅠis cored wire in the pressure achieving before the biggest elastic pressure strain stage, stageⅡis cored wire in the pressure achieving the biggest elastic pressure strain to the limiting condition stage. Because of cored wire with filling alloy powder that is absorbed most of the pressure, and the cored wire is maintained a high capacity, that is, the maximum load capacity of cored wire is relative increased with the increase of the alloy powder apparent density.Cored wire spot welded in steel under shear loading, and the damage form is button breaks, and whose situation is occurred after reversing solder joint. Through the shear strength test, indicating that the two connected by the solder plate, solder joint is not necessarily the more the higher the intensity, of which each of the four solder joints can withstand only the load of 598.7N, each of the three solder joints can withstand the highest loads of 826.3N.
