Water is the basis of living things. It is not only an affecting factor on the production activities of human being in all aspects of life, but also the decisive component of the whole ecosystem. In simple words, no water, no lives, no water, no development. In China, the water resources per capita very limited, and the water pollution is very serious, pollution prevente is consequently imminent.There are three types of water pollution based on the source types of pollution, the point-source pollution, the line-source pollution and the area-source pollution. According to the finite element approach, area-source pollution can be abstracted as finite set of line-source pollution, and the line-source pollution can be abstracted as a finite set of point-source pollution, so the point-source pollution is very important for the study of water pollution. According to the water pollution emission ways, the point pollution can be divided into instantaneous point-source pollution and continuous point-source pollution. Based on the finite element approach, continuous point-source pollution can also be abstracted as a finite set of instantaneous one. Accordingly, the study of instantaneous point-source pollution is the most important part in water pollution.This paper will analysis, design, and do some simulation experiments based on the existing cellular automata for instantaneous point water pollution. Finally we'll reach the following conclusions:The first, the method of analysis based on the cellular automata uses the local dynamics (or local relations) principle for overall inference. It is more intuitive and accurate compared with other methods, in reflecting the relationship between each element, and it effects the diffusion of water pollution, and the pollutants changes caused by the local condition changes in the migration. The second, the simulation result shall be distorted due to the seriously abstraction in the past methods. In this paper, some conditions are added to the attribute files, such as current direction, current velocity, and wind direction, to make every Cellular have the information, to achieve a more accurate abstraction. The third, some people may always ignore the analysis of derivations in the past method, only taking the original pollution migration into account, while in this paper we put the multiple Cellular automata or double Cellular automata forward to analyze the derivations'diffusion. And the last, some people used to use average wind speed, average current speed in the past method, assuming a constant flow and constant wind, and a simulation time point to calculate the center coordinates, accordingly the analysis of the pollution range is not to all correct. In this paper, it is decided to give up the above stated method and to add two moving parameters, one is drift with the wind and the other is drift with the water. It will make the simulation of the Drift-diffusion more realistic and accurate.Finally, this paper analyzed the applications of the Drift-diffusion method based on the cellular automata instantaneous point water pollution.
