In recent years, the temperature of underground airways continually increases with mining depth increased, and then high temperature of deep shaft is one of heat hazards, which has already become one of the major issues of constraining coal mining safety. Limit depth of future mining will be dependent on mine cooling technology and equipment level, the study on forecasting accuracy in real time of heat and damp environments in underground airways will become an important technical issue which effectively controls meteorological environment of underground airways and accurately calculates ventilation network. It will provide a good working environment for mine workers and can maximize the performance of mine construction and production which in science and economy forecasts heat and damp environments in underground airways, and takes precaution in advance. In this paper, histories and current situations of researches on heat and damp environments in underground airways are investigated and summarized in detail. 2D and 3D models of sloping and damp workings are established, and application of the finite difference method, numerial simulation and solution are carried out with temperature field of roadway wall rock.On this basis, simple and useful tool software of simulating and computing heat and damp environments of air flow in workings is compiled. The difference of computing model results is compared between 2D and 3D used in this study, especially, the concept of evaluation parameters of moist degree in workings are definitely analyzed and represented, meanwhile, the effects on temperature and humidity of air flow are investigated, further the effects on heat and damp environments of air flow in various conditions are discussed, in particular, impact factors and characteristics of heat and damp environments in sloping workings and damp workings are analyzed and discussed.
