Aqueous Two-phase System (ATPS) consist of cationic and anionic surfactant was the important systerm which was payed more attention in recent years, the environmentally friendly character shows great potential application in extraction and separation. But few research on two phase composition of the systerm have restricted its further development. The fourier infrared spectrum was first used in our systerm to research two phase composition, established the best conditions of quantitative analysis, showed the influence law of composition on structure and extraction. In the research, through the relevant comparative experiments, optimize the best exploration conditions:the KSCN was as internal standard content, control temperature and humidity, adopt KBr presser method, the work curve CTAB (SDS) drawn by peak area calculation method had good correlation(R2>0.980).When this optimization accurate quantitative analysis method was applied in CTAB/SDS/H2O system, we get valuable discovery. Research shows that:surfactant total concentration and add salt concentration was the important effect factor on two phase composition, with total concentration and salt concentration increased, ATPSc area top-phase surfactant concentrations increased gradually. In the same system, with the increase of CTAB component in the system, top-phase surfactant concentrations and microstructural changed regularly, there is a maximum in concentration curve, in the maximum place, sample polarizing phenomenon was the most obvious, the both sides of maximum was respectively polarized area and non-polarized area. We also found that when the system composition and temperature etc to achieve consistent state, rare esicles structure appears in system, this system played a strong role in enrichment surfactant, caused per unit volume surfactant concentrations rise. Above phenomenon shows system microcosmic structure and two phase composition closely related. In addition, with the adding salt species changing, system structure and composition change similarly, but the effect of different salt in different ways.Further studies on extraction shows that sodium benzoate extraction effect and the structure of the solution related closely, distribution coefficient curve and surfactant concentration curve appeared the same variational rule, when surfactant concentration reached maximum, distribution coefficient also reached maximum. The research through the intuitive experimental data, intuitively demonstrated the relationships in composition, microcosmic structure and extraction, and with an explanation for the mechanism, set up a convenient, quick and accurate determination methods for phase composition.
