In china thin coal seam with hard parting band are mainly distributed in the main coal-producing provinces, such as Shandong, Hebei and Henan. With the coal exhaustion, it is essential to increase mining of the thin coal seam with hard parting band. But now in out country, many problems limited the mine production seriously, such as low level of the face mechanization, the low production of the face and the low efficiency. According to the problems, we study on the thin coal seam with hard parting band face on confined aquifer to build the first fully mechanized mining system in this condition in China on the basic of the geological condition of Xiezhuang Mine, which face will reach the requirement of high production and efficiency face on the both aspects of production and efficiency.First, we propose to increase the production of the face by design working face. It contains two aspects. One is that according to the limitation of the confined aquifer, we determine a reasonable dip length of the working face by theoretical analysis and theoretical calculation. The other one is that we propose the straight-forward pulling mining double unit face arrangement mode, and then determine a reasonable alternate distance by numerical simulation method. By the same time we confirm that the alternate distance is reasonable by analysis the lead abutment pressure from the field measurement. In this way, it can not only increase the production of the face, but also ensure the mining safety.Second, we propose to increase the production and efficiency of the face by new mining process research of thin coal seam with hard parting band. On the basis of the rock mechanism test from which we obtained the rock mechanism parameters, we build four kinds of models which with different combination of parting band and coal, which are prepared for the analysis for the failure process and failure characteristics by numerical simulation. According to the analysis, we propose the Inhomogeneity Failure Theoretical which provide guidance for the slice mining technique with coal and parting band and transfer pressure by decreasing support mining technique. And then according to combined with the geological condition of 71310E face we determine reasonable support strength of the hydraulic support which supply a technique support the high production and efficiency thin coal seam with hard parting band face research.Last, we propose to increase the production and efficiency of the face by adaptive reformation of the shear machine and the type selection of face equipments. The field test shows that the research can meet the qualification of high production and efficiency thin coal seam with hard parting band face. So it can provide information for the high production and efficiency thin coal seam with hard parting band face building.
