In this paper, we discussed the background and the progress of organometallic chemistry, especially the synthesis and application of amino-metal complexes in catalysis, such as those compounds based on 2,6-diamidopyridine.We prepared the compound 2,6-bis(trimethylsilylamino)pyridine(2a) by the reaction of 2,6-diaminopyridine with trimethylsilyl chloride and triethylamine in 85% yield. After the deprotonation of 2,6-bis(trimethylsilylamino)pyridine(2a) by two-equivalent nBuLi in ether, we obtained the amido-lithium 2b, which structure was characterized by 'HNMR and X-ray are not reported in the literature. According to the crystal structure of 2b, the lithium ion coordinates with nitrogen in different ways. Scheme 1 Synthesis of complex 2a,2bThe amido-lithium 2b reacted with transition-metal chloride, MCln (M=Fe, Co, Hf) to afford organometallic compounds 3a,3b,3c in 62%, 73%,75% respectively, which are not reported in the literature and characterized by'HNMR and X-ray (Scheme 2).
