Decanter centrifuge is one kind of widely used centrifugal separation equipment with large capacity, continuous operation, high efficiency, high degree of automation, low power consumption and strong adaptability. As the requests of the centrifuge equipments become higher and higher, centrifuge has been renewing contantly, along with easy operability, reliability, can-be-surveiled, and easy maintenance have been the basic requirements of the centrifuge equipments. To make reasonable use of the whole equipment, conducting its systemic exploitation and application, it is necessary to build a model, which is adaptable for the system analysis, model design and reliability evaluation. In the design of decanter centrifuge, separated reliability jobs cannot afford the needs of improvement for decanter centrifuge reliability and achieve the desired results because of lack of an integrated reliability framework. Furthermore, separated reliability jobs were always leading to serious impact on work efficiency and repetitions, which increased workloads of designers, who boycotted and complained about them. This decreased advances from the reliability jobs. In response, this thesis analyzed the reliability jobs in the life cycle of centrifuge, presented usual failure model of centrifuge, and established a framework for the reliability jobs in the design phase of decanter centrifuge. And then, reliability analysis of decanter centrifuge had been carried out by FMECA and FTA. Finally, reliability prediction and reliability allocation of decanter centrifuge had been carried into execution to integrate all the important reliability jobs. Crucial techniques and methods had been studied in the process of reliability jobs.
