MIP (Maximizing Iso-Paraffins) process could significantly reduce the olefin content in gasoline, which had been adopted by many domestic refineries. Therefore, it was necessary to study the MIP process reaction system dynamics model to develop the process specifications and to guide the optimization of the unit.In this paper,10-lumped kinetic model for new catalytic cracking of MIP process has been established, based on the data of a domestic refinery MIP plant.40 sets of kinetic parameters were estimated by genetic algorithms. The model was verified by measured data which was different from modeling data. The results showed that the model could predict the distribution of main products, especially the hydrocarbon group composition of gasoline. In addition, the study also used the model to optimize a set of operating condition, based on the quality controlling standards of production. The result not only showed the rational of operating condition, but also found the better operating condition. Compared with the original condition, the diesel yield was essentially the same, but gasoline yield increased 1.86 percentage points, light liquid yield increased 1.76 percentage points, and the olefin content of gasoline fell 0.9 percentage points.
