With the development and perfect of the waste tire pyrolysis technology, correct quality evaluation and reasonable utilization of the pyrolysis product has become the most critical problem. A detail analysis and evaluation of the pyrolysis oil, such as physical and chemical properties, distillation characteristics and chemical composition were conducted. The results show that the pyrolysis oil has the features of low viscosity and higher contents of sulfur and nitrogen compounds. The hydrocarbon compounds in the pyrolysis oil included saturated hydrocarbons, aromatics, olefins and some non-hydrocarbon compounds. Unsaturated hydrocarbon compounds are the main component in the below 75℃fraction. In the light fraction the contents of olefins are higher up to 66.08% and the aromatics are 29.37%. The contents of aromatic hydrocarbon, including single-ring aromatic hydrocarbons, naphthalene and indene, are significantly increased reaching 46.94% in the medium fraction. Finally the compounds of single-ring monoterpenes were determined and limonene was the main single-ring monoterpenes with the content of 41.08% in the light fraction.
