Wood composites were the main material of the architectural ornaments.It had unique advantages.Our life need more requirements of wood composites as improve of the shortage of energy, degradation of environmental. The production of multi-functional environment-friendly wood composite materials became an important part of the research areas of the timber industry.In this paper soy adhesive plywood and nitrogen phosphorus compound flame retardants were used as adhesive and flame retardant to made new environmentally friendly fire-retardant plywood. We studied the impact of different flame retardants on the mechanical properties and flame retardant of soy adhesive plywood. The effects of flame retardant on properties of wood were characterized by thermal analysis. The results were indicated as follows:(1) Flame retardant properties of soy adhesive plywood was proportional to the drug loading. The flame retardant properties of soy adhesive plywood could be improved after dipping the poplar veneer by flame retardant solution.The LOI was between27.5%and34.5%with different soaking method.The bonding strength of soy adhesive plywood decreased.If washing the poplar veneer after impregnated,the bonding strength would decreased less.(2) If impregnating the soy adhesive plywood by flame retardant the flame retardancy could increased significantly.The LOI was between29.5%and34%and the bonding strength decreased unsignificantly.(3) Flame retardants could reduce the initial thermal decomposition temperature of the wood flour, slow down the wood powder thermal decomposition rate and increase the residual carbon content of wood powder combustion.
