In the aluminum industry, the operating condition of the aluminum reduction cell is very importance. However, with the continuous development of the aluminum industry, the old detection means can not meet the requirements of the modern control system. To this end, we designed a TMS320VC5416-based monitoring system to the anode currents and cell voltage.In this paper, the hardware and software development have a detailed description. In the hardware design part, chips selection depends on the characteristics of50-channel analog signals. The system architecture includes the DSP5416minimum system module, the multi-channel analog module, the A/D module, the FLASH module, the display module, the USB module and the power module. In the software development part, the system software and the host computer software have been introduced.Eventually, the system achieve the50analog voltage signals acquisition, and through the USB interface, the communication with PC has been realized too.
