| Existing curve grinding methods have been analyzed. On the basis of this, a new curve grinding method-the region proportional contact grinding method is proposed. With this way, the touch contact between grinding wheel and work piece is controlled in appointed contact zone. And this method causes the grinding wheel and the work piece profile curve proportional contact when processes each plot. The problems of grinding wheel distortion are overcome effectively, that is produced by touch contact excessively deviate from symmetrical central plane of grinding wheel in existing curve grinding. At same time, the obstacle that the local abrasion is high is removed and grinding precision is improved. Simultaneously this method may also avoid the question of the grinding wheel outline error uneven distribution which because of region equal angle linear interpolation. We developed application software, which integrated tabulated curve fitting, tool position computing, G-code file making and error analyzing. At last, we built the machine tool model and tested the method on the VERICUT simulation platform. Store the information in the database.Base on this method, this thesis successfully carried out the arithmetic designing on the computer, developed the software which had friendly man-machine interface, produced G code tool path control file.This thesis built the machine tool model and G-code file on the VERICUT, and simulated the grinding process.
